How to get a Pag-IBIG MID Number and Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus

Pag-IBIG is the government savings and housing loan fund. Your Membership ID (MID) Number is a permanent 12-digit number, and it is free. The Loyalty Card Plus is the optional plastic card. It is a valid ID, a discount card at partner shops, and a cash card where Pag-IBIG can send your loan money and MP2 dividends.

Be clear on the split. Getting your MID number is fully online through Virtual Pag-IBIG. The Loyalty Card Plus is only partly online: you can download and fill the form at home, but you must appear in person at a branch because they take your photo, fingerprints, and signature, and you must pay the fee to the bank operator on site.

Fill in your personal details exactly as they appear on your birth certificate.
Give an active mobile number and email address, then confirm the one-time password (OTP) sent to you.
Wait for your permanent MID number. Pag-IBIG sends it to your email or mobile.
You can later check the number on the same page under 'Verify MID No.'
Loyalty Card Plus, part online only: download and print the application form (HQP-PFF-108) from the Pag-IBIG website.
Fill it out in capital letters, then bring it to a branch. The card itself cannot be applied for or delivered online.

Branch hours are usually 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and they stop taking applicants before closing. Employers can also arrange a group session at the office: the employer files HQP-PFF-123 and HQP-PFF-371, and on the scheduled day each employee still fills their own HQP-PFF-108, pays the fee, and gets their card on the spot.

Fill out the Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus Application Form (HQP-PFF-108).
Go to a Pag-IBIG branch that has a Loyalty Card Plus kiosk. Not every branch has one, so check the branch locator or call first.
Hand in the form with a photocopy of one valid ID, and show the original ID for checking.
Pay the card fee to the accredited bank operator at the counter (AUB or UnionBank).
Have your photo and fingerprints taken.
Check the details the bank operator typed in and confirm they are correct.
Get your card right away. Change the PIN as soon as you receive it.

Representative

Not on its own

The card cannot be claimed by anyone else. This is different from most other IDs on this list.

Biometrics are captured at the counter, so a representative is impossible for the card itself. For claims, loans, and other paper transactions, Pag-IBIG uses a notarised SPA plus valid IDs of both people.

You must appear in person for the Loyalty Card Plus. Nobody can stand in for you, because the branch takes your own photo, your own fingerprints, and your own signature.
For other Pag-IBIG paperwork (not the card), have a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) written and notarised, naming the person and the exact transaction.
Give your representative the notarised SPA, a photocopy of your valid government ID with your signature on it, and their own valid government ID.

Loyalty Card Plus: any active Pag-IBIG member with a permanent 12-digit MID number. MP2 savers and pensioners can get one too.

Tips

Get your MID number online first. It is free and takes minutes. Do not queue at a branch just for the number.
Do not apply twice for a MID number. One member, one permanent MID. Duplicates split your savings record.
Call the branch before you go for the Loyalty Card Plus. Only branches with a Loyalty Card Plus kiosk can print it, and a wasted trip is common.
Bring the exact PHP 125 in cash. You pay the bank operator, not the Pag-IBIG cashier.
Change the card PIN the moment you get it. Pag-IBIG says this in its own reminder, because the card can hold money.
